If I were a congress man I would create a bill to become a law to prevent and halt texting and driving. Texting and driving is dangerous enough even without texting. With the added distractions it makes the situation for a young driver much more hazardous and is not a risk someone should take that could injure them and as well as others. Is the risk worth it?
Texting and driving is dangerous and one should not ever decide to do so. Both texting and driving and drinking and driving have ended many peoples lives and they could have been soo easily avoided. Texting and driving can be punishable to a five hundred dollar fine or up to ninety days in jail. Also when you are texting and driving your reaction time is slowed down by thirty-five percent. Drinking and driving is also punishable up to a five hundred dollar fine or multiple days in a federal prison.
A plan to prevent texting and driving would be to engineer every car with a layer of chicken wire around the entire body of the automobil. The purpose for this is that it is physically impossible to text and drive due to the laws of physics. Because of the chicken wire, it makes it so that the wavelengths can not pass through to the inside of the vehicle. With this being said it would not only stop texting and driving but it would discontinue it forever and would make the roads and everyone on them safer.
